Fireworks Plea from Heathlands – Bacon Roll & Tea

Heathlands Fireworks 2016Fireworks Plea from Heathlands

This Saturday, 4th November, sees the 25th Annual Fireworks Display on the Poors Field.  An extremely popular event this is organised every year to raise funds for Heathlands PTA with a massive £9,000 profit being made last year.  However, one consequence of this success is large crowds and an equally large amount of rubbish.  So, a plea from the organizing committee:

Following this year’s Fireworks display, using the Poors field, we have the immediate task to return the field to an operational area.  Two games of football are due to start at 10:30.

If anyone (8-80 welcomed!) is able to help with the Poors field tidy, we’d love to hear from you.  For clarity, this is simply a request for support on the POORS FIELD TIDY not the wider site clear down.  You’ll just need gloves and warm clothes, we can provide the remainder.  Please email [antibot mailto=”[email protected]”] or call Ian on 07905 947808.

We’ll be on site between 8-10 on Sunday 5th Nov and very happy to offer a warming cuppa and a bacon roll as a small token of our thanks.  Even if it’s 20 minutes, we’ll welcome you.

Very many thanks in advance and we hope this will prove an effective way to promptly return the Poors field to its usual beauty.
