Colchester & District Model Railway Club 

The club meets every Thursday evening (8.00 – 10.00pm) in their clubhouse, an old barn at the Armoury Farm.  The clubhouse holds a number of layouts including a junior one for children (over 11) to use under parental supervision.  The main focus of the club is to recreate layouts that closely resemble historically accurate tracks and local surroundings.  Each spring they organize a local ‘open day’ in Orpen Hall which has free entry, and every autumn a larger exhibition with many visiting clubs’ displays and trade stands in Colchester.
