1st West Bergholt Scout Group
“We prepare young people with skills for life.”
The Scout Group runs 4 sections to cater for young people between the ages of 6 and 14.
6 – 8 years old | Wednesday 5:00 – 6:15
8 – 10½ years old | Monday 6:30 – 8:00 & Friday 6:30 – 8:00
10½ – 14 years old | Wednesday 7:00 -9:00 |
We’re Scouts and everyone is welcome here. Every week, across the UK, we help almost half a million people aged 4-25 develop skills for life. Are you ready to join the adventure?
As a Beaver, Cub or Scout, a young person will have the opportunity to learn skills (such as knots or cooking), experience being outdoors (to hike or camp) or to have fun playing games. Parents say that their children benefit from the adventures, fun and friendships they experience. It can help develop social skills and independence and give them some memorable opportunities.
Some sections are very busy and have waiting lists, so please check before turning up.
Volunteers Welcome
As well as young people, we are also keen to welcome adult volunteers. In fact, we are desperate for leaders and helpers! If you can spare a couple of hours a week or a day a year, we have opportunities both behind the scenes and directly supporting young people. With full support and training, you can volunteer on a flexible basis. Not only is it incredibly rewarding and great fun, but you will also learn some brilliant skills transferable to the workplace too. You do not need to have been a Scout: you just need to believe in a more positive future and the difference we can make together.
