Day 14 brings 3 snippets of news and a musical interlude to round it off.  Two come from Essex County Council, one for small businesses, the other welfare-related.  The final one is from Essex Police for all of us.

On the buses

Day 13 of Lockdown

On day 13 the most significant news is of changed bus timetables (see links below).  If you were wondering about day 12, it happened, you didn’t miss it, it just seemed the same as the day before with less news.

Both First Bus and Chambers have recently changed their scheduling in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, during this time you can help keep yourself and the drivers safer by following the advice below.

As it’s Sunday – there is also some light relief at the bottom.

Day 10 of Lockdown – The Police Edition

If the Last Supper was taking place this year

Day 10 of Lockdown

Our day 10 report starts with an update on NEEB’s appeal.  After that, we put together two reports found online yesterday.  Essex Police had noted there had been an uptick in cars on roads and Essex County Council (coincidentally?) gave advice on how to avoid car use.

On the subject of Essex Police, they paid a surprise visit to the allotments yesterday.   The last item is The Police offering advice about social distancing in a musical form.  🙂

Before we move on, a gentle reminder about NO BONFIRES please to protect kids with asthma; recycling collections will resume eventually so please hold your Green waste until then or use the CSH service for recyclables.  So, on to the NEEB update:

It seems that the Planning Inspectorates enquiry into the NEEB Holdings application has Continue reading “Day 10 of Lockdown – The Police Edition”

CSH Environmental TruckDay 8 of Lockdown

Asterix vs PandemixDay 7 of Lockdown

So, it’s day 7, coming to the end of the first week and we’re looking at the possibility of there being many more weeks.  Nerves are already fraying at webmaster’s house.  With that in mind, looking after yourself is a key imperative, that’s why we’ll inject humour from time to time, but our first item is from Public Health England (PHE).  Others are:

Guidance on Mental Health & Wellbeing

Over the weekend PHE published a document basically concerned with helping us preserve our sanity in these troubling times.  It addresses a wide range of things you can do to help with your mental health & wellbeing, many with links to external resources such as helplines and the NHS Fitness Studio: Continue reading “Day 7 of Lockdown – The ‘Look After Yourself’ Edition”
