St Mary’s Update – 20th June 2017
St Mary’s Church update for 20th June provides listings of services, bible readings and other events and news such as Senior Citizen’s lunch, Contemporary Worship & IGNITE! service.
Don’t forget, the church is now open on weekdays if you would like a quiet space to reflect or say a prayer for someone.
Contemporary Worship
You can Google this and find many meanings, so why not pop along to the Methodist Church in West Bergholt on 25th June at 6:30pm and find out what the Colchester Methodist Circuit make of it. The theme of the service will be ‘Receiving Gifts for ministry’. You will be warmly welcomed and, if you can’t make that, then there are further opportunities as follows:
- 23rd July – Boxted,
- 24th September – Mersea,
- 22nd October – Wivenhoe,
- 26th November – The Ark, and
- 28th January – Castle.
Heathlands School Year 6 Retreat
A huge thank you to Jo Jeffery and her team of volunteers who organised and led various activities for the Year 6 children at the old and new churches on 15 & 16 June. The children had a great time!
IGNITE! Youth Service
The Wired Youth Group’s, together with young people from Langham & Boxted, next Ignite youth celebration service will be at St Peter’s Church in Boxted, postcode CO4 5TG (car park in Church Lane) on Friday 30th June. The event starts with a BBQ @ 7pm, followed by informal worship with contemporary music @ 7.45pm. All welcome! See attached poster.
Senior Citizen’s Lunch
