Downton Abbey, the latest Film Club event on 29th February, picks up in 1927, about 18 months after the TV series ended. It starts with news of a Royal visit but complications set in with some family issues and a stranger in the village. Erle Havard Play Area ConsultationColchester Borough Homes is planning to upgrade the Erle Havard Play Area this year and are consulting on 5 options. You can see some simple illustrations of the five options on their website at cbhomes.org.uk/park-poll/ and, on that same page, click on your preferred option.
The deadline for responses is 24th January so is looming; there is no constraint on who can vote so an opportunity to get the kids involved!

The film follows Laurel and Hardy, the world’s most famous comedy duo, embark on what becomes their swan song – a gruelling theatre tour of post-war Britain.
