Fordham All Saints have a Midday Assistant Vacancy.  Would you like to work with wonderful children and help them at lunchtimes?  Do you want to work with a small team with flexible hours?

We are a friendly, successful school, committed to the highest possible standards of learning and teaching. We take pride in our Christian values and heritage that enable children to develop a love of learning, a spirit of enquiry and a determination to succeed. Our school is set in fantastic grounds and is proud of its links with the local and wider community.

We now need a midday assistant to help set up the hall for lunch, serve drinks and help children during their time in the dining room and then on the playground with games and activities.  You will be fully supported in your role!

We would like to hear from anyone who could be available from 11.45am-1.15pm from 2-5 days a week in school term time?

£7.43 per hour

Following the public notice published by Colchester Borough Council, no election to fill this vacancy has been requested by the electors within this parish.  Therefore, the Parish Council will fill the vacancy by the process of co-option.

If you are interested in being co-opted as a Parish Councillor, then we would like to hear from you, please contact the Chairman or Clerk for further details. Familiarisation sessions will be arranged, and should there be more than one person interested, selection would be made by a vote of the Parish Council as required by the regulations.

A vacancy has come up for a parish councillor.  If enough electors ask for one by 21st August, the Council will hold an election to fill the role.  Failing this, the council will be able to co-opt somebody suitable.  The Official Announcement is as follows:

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that Rachel Howard has ceased to be a member and that a casual vacancy exists in the office of councillor for the West Bergholt Parish Council.

If by 21 August 2015, ten electors for the said parish make a request for an election to fill the vacancy in writing to the proper officer of Colchester Borough Council, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy. Otherwise, the Parish Council will fill the vacancy.

RCCE logoRural Community Council of Essex (RCCE) is a leading charity working in Essex for over 85 years. We provide assistance to people and communities throughout rural Essex to build a sustainable future

RCCE is looking for a new Rural Housing Enabler to help rural communities in Essex provide the housing they need.

You will promote and advise on affordable rural housing, working with parish councils, registered providers and local authorities to achieve this. You will attend community events, deliver presentations at parish council meetings and undertake housing needs surveys.

You will also have the opportunity to work on other community engagement projects that include wider housing and development priorities or needs.

You will be a confident communicator, able to prioritise and problem solve and be enthusiastic about rural communities, especially in terms of affordable housing. This role will require flexibility, as it involves some out of hours working. We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants that have experience of affordable rural housing or planning/development.
