It is the aim of the Parish Council to seek a high standard of design for all new developments and extensions in the Village .

Item 1:            To receive any pre-application representations regarding proposed planning applications

The owners of 87 Albany Road approached the Planning Committee for advice regarding an extension to their bungalow on the corner of Albany Road & Erle Havard. They would like to add another floor to the building, turning the bungalow into the house. The aim would be to bring it up to the approximate height of the gutters on the house to the right across Erle Havard Road, however remaining within the buildings same footprint. The intention is to have a slate roof like the bungalow to the left of the property and a smooth render on the walls with Hardie Board timber at the top.

The Committee advised that the property owners to work on some sketches and forward them to the chair of the Planning Committee, who was unable to attend this meeting, and to consult the Borough Council with regards their policy on this type of extension.
