Heathlands PTA Is Buzzing

Heathlands PTA members are buzzing with ideas to help them raise funds for the school.  If you want to get involved in any of them then let’s start with some key activities (more details will normally be put out nearer the time):

T-Towels

The kids have done their bit and designed T-Towels for Easter & Mothers’ Day – these will soon be available for sale for just £5 each.

Family Events

Easter chocolateChocolate Bingo

Taking place on 4th April between 5:30 pm – 8 pm, this is Bingo with a twist, Easter eggs as prizes.

Quiz Nights

With 2 dates now set (8th April and 21st May), Quizmaster Chris Hunt offers a “Favourite Heroes” quiz on 8th April.  Arrive at 6:30 pm for a 7 pm start, teams of up to 6 with £2.50 entry per person.  Contact [antibot mailto=”[email protected]”] to book.

Heathlands Fireworks 2013Annual Fireworks

This will take place on Saturday 9th November.  Running for nearly 30 years now, this is a massive event every year and attracts visitors from miles around.  As well as Fireworks, the event also promises food, drink and live music. Visit their website nearer the time.

Hollyberry Fayre

This is booked in for Saturday 4th December.  Last year the event was packed with fun for the family including:

  • Father Christmas Grotto,
  • Harry Potter Experience,
  • Licenced Bar,
  • Tombola,
  • Wrap a present,
  • Whine or wine,
  • Hot Food,
  • Promise Tree,
  • Beauty Room,
  • Raffle, and
  • Games room.

Kids’ Events

  • 20th March – Sleepover (this raised over £1,000 last year!)
    The PTA is looking for volunteers to help run this event contact [antibot mailto=”[email protected]”] to find out more,
  • 26th June – Dress Down Day – funds towards Summer Fun Day,
  • 10th July – Summer Fun Day,
  • October (dates TBA):
    • Dress Down Day (donations towards Hollyberry Fayre),
    • Spooky Disco.
