Co-op & Post Office To Get Refurb

As part of Co-op‘s rolling programme, the West Bergholt branch will get a refurb starting on Monday 16th March.  This means that the Post Office will close at 2 pm on Saturday 14th, and the Co-op at 10 pm on Sunday 15th.  They will both reopen at 9 am on Tuesday 31st March.

The ATM/Cashpoint will undoubtedly run out at some point and not be replenished until the store is reopened.

We have asked the Co-op’s Head Office for more details about the refurb and they have agreed to keep in communication with the Parish Council throughout the refurbishment.  Apart from the Costa machine & PO returning, we still know little about what changes might be made.

Alternative Facilities

The nearest alternative store providing basic needs is Ash’s on Colchester Road.  Other options are the two Spar/Esso stores, one on Bergholt Road and the other in Eight Ash Green; these are also the nearest alternative ATMs.

There are your two recommended options for Post Offices; your preference might be based on whether or not you can park conveniently:
