The 30th Care Network AGM will be held on Wednesday 19th April at 7.30pm in the John Lampon Hall.  Members will celebrate this special anniversary with invited guests including some of the original founding volunteers.  Cake and prosecco, and maybe more, will also be on offer.   The meeting is open to all residents of the village, so come along and show support and hear about Care Network’s achievements. Help Spring Clean the village with the Litter Warriors at their next outing this weekend.

Starting from the West Bergholt Cricket Club, Manor Road, at 11am on Saturday 1st April this is no April Fool jest (although bad jokes might be excused).   Why not spend an hour helping to tidy our village up and take pride in our beautiful village.

First Responders looking to raise £8,000

The Colchester First Responders group covering West Bergholt are raising £8,000 to Buy life saving Equipment.  Each kit bag for a Community First Responder costs around £1,500 and is a small price to pay to save a life.  The more kit bags they can buy, the more Community First Responders can be out and about on call. The Traffic Safety Plan Group met on 2nd February and continued discussions on a range of actions and initiatives including trygve, yellow lines, parking opportunities, clearer signs/roadside furniture and progress on the upcoming workshop event on 25th February.

20’s Plenty Near Heathlands

Improving traffic safety in our villages and schools can take some time but West Bergholt Parish Council has shown it is worth the effort.  Over a three-year period the village produced and introduced a Traffic Safety Plan.  It did this working in partnership with Essex County Council, Heathlands primary school and village residents.

Just as all the firework debris litters our streets the timing of the West Bergholt Litter Warriors plan to hit the streets on Sunday 6th November couldn’t be better.

As ever, all equipment will be provided and the Warriors will be leaving from outside the Orpen Hall at 10am and spend an hour picking.  Why not join them & help to keep West Bergholt beautiful?
