St Mary’s Church update for 21st August provides listings of services and other events and news. This update includes Village Fete, Café Church, Harvest Festival, Home Groups & Ignite.
Praise on 4 Café Church
Join us for coffee & croissants, music, informal worship and discussion at 9:30 am on 26th August. This month’s theme is ‘What is the Church?’
Everyone Welcome!
Village Fete
Come and visit our stall at the Village Fete on 1st September!
There will be games and biscuit decorating for the young at heart, plus recycling items will be available, together with leaflets and information about forthcoming events.
Harvest Festival
Decorating the church
We will be decorating the church for harvest on Sat 22 Sept from 9.45am. Last year many church and village organisations were happy to decorate one of the smaller windows. It would be lovely if we could repeat that experience.
Please let Fiona Stewart know if you would like to adopt a window to decorate!
Harvest Supper
Taking place on Saturday 22 September at 6pm, tickets are now on sale! Buffet supper and family-friendly entertainment!
Tickets are £7.50 adults & £2.50 children and are available from the church office or from Ronnie Seymour [antibot mailto=”[email protected]”].
Harvest Festival Service
Come and celebrate God’s goodness to us at our special family-friendly Harvest Service on Sunday 23rd September at 9.30 am. Donations of tinned and packets food welcomed to give to the Open Door project in Colchester town centre.
Home Groups – Autumn Term
Our Tuesday evening home group will be meeting again after the summer break at 8pm on the following dates:

- 23rd October,
- 6th November,
- 20th November.

Ignite Youth Service
Taking place on Friday 5th October at 7.45 pm, Ignite is a lively, informal service put together by our Wired youth group and the youth group from Langham & Boxted churches. All welcome!
