St Mary’s Church update for 7th July provides listings of services, bible readings and other events and news such as Senior Citizen’s lunch, Treasure Hunt and a Course in Christian Studies.
Don’t forget, the church is now open on weekdays if you would like a quiet space to reflect or say a prayer for someone.
Family Treasure Hunt
This takes place on Saturday 15th July starting from St John’s Church, Elstar Lane, Great Horkesley, CO6 4FE between 2:30pm-3:30pm.
All families welcome on a Treasure Hunt around local footpaths in Great Horkesley, children must be accompanied by an adult to take part. Longer & shorter trails are available with refreshments at the end of the trail.

Course in Christian Studies
Would you like to share in a journey of discovery? This course is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith with others. The course runs over 2 years, is open to anyone over the age of 16 and is based on weekly meetings in local groups.

Afternoon Tea on Sunday 23rd July at 3pm
For the older members of our community. Particularly if you are elderly, living alone and not fortunate enough to have family and/or friends living nearby this could be for you. You are warmly invited to an Afternoon Tea, at the Methodist Church Hall, with folk in a similar situation to yourself.
If wanted, transport will pick you up from your home, bring you to the tea and return you to your home when the tea has finished.

Messy Church
Taking place on Sunday 9th July at 9:30am. The theme for this month is the story of Joshua & the walls of Jericho tumbling down.
Join us for coffee and croissants, and lots of fun activities and songs.
