The West Bergholt Film Club is showing the family film Christopher Robin on Saturday 9th February to raise funds for playground equipment.  Taking place in the Orpen Hall, doors open at 5:00 pm for showtime at 5:30 pm.

Tickets are £5, available in advance from Scissorhands or, subject to availability, on the door. Synopsis

Marc Foster directed this 2018 American fantasy comedy-drama film.  Writers Alex Ross Perry, Tom McCarthy, and Allison Schroeder it based it on a story by Greg Brooker and Mark Steven Johnson. AA Milne and EH Shepard’s book Winnie-the-Pooh inspired the film which is a live-action/CGI production.  It stars Ewan McGregor in the title role.

The film starts with Christopher Robin having a farewell party with his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood; after this, he heads off to boarding school.  It follows Christopher through marriage, service during WW2 and the trials & tribulations of post-war career and family life during which Christopher gets reunited with his old friends.
