St Mary’s Church update for 18th June provides listings of services and other events and news. This update includes Praise on 4 Café, results of Christian Aid collection, calls for help and a course in Christian Studies.
Praise on 4 Café Church
Join us for coffee & croissants, music, informal worship and discussion on 24th June at 9:30 am. This month’s theme is ’Good News?’

Christian Aid — Thank You!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped with the door to door collection or who donated money. We raised £1800!
MMU Licensing Service
Taking place at St Michael’s, Myland, this is a special service when all the ordained ministers from each of the churches in our MMU (mission and ministry units) are being licensed to work across the MMU. The service is being led by Bishop Roger and Archdeacon Annette. It starts at 6 pm on 8th July.
Help Needed
Open Gardens
The church will once again be a pit stop for refreshments and programmes for the Open Gardens event on 1st July. Helpers are needed to service refreshments from 11 am—5.30 pm on the day or to make cakes.

Village Fete
The church will once again be running a stall at the Village Fete on September 1st. If you are available to help on the day, please contact Liz Dixon 243683 or [antibot mailto=”[email protected]”].
Course in Christian Studies
The Course in Christian Studies is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith with others. It is run over 2 years and is based on weekly meetings in local groups. You can go along to some taster sessions:
- Weds 18 July—10 am at the Diocesan Office in Chelmsford (53 New Street), or
- 7.30 pm at St John’s Church, Ipswich Road.
