Your Help is Needed to Raise Funds

Like most schools today, fundraising is essential to Heathlands. Whilst they have done well despite COVID-19 (see their end-of-year update), the PTA needs your help once again and it couldn’t be at a more convenient time.

Perfect Time for a Clear Out

As we are easing out of Lockdown the time is perfect for you to be checking your wardrobe to make sure you are ready to be set free. Heathlands PTA have arranged for a Bag2School collection on Thursday 13th May. So, with rain forecast this weekend, why not get out your plastic sacks and fill them with:

Heathlands PTA 2020 Roundup

In this 2020 roundup, Heathlands PTA reveals that, despite the impact of COVID-19, they have managed to raise an amazing total of £3,918.61. This was through:

Sale of:
- T-Towels designed by the kids for Easter (£600),
- Xmas cards (£250), and
- Water Bottles,
Xmas wishes (£750),
Santa Dash (£2,000) and
Bag for Schools (£300).

Holiday Hunger Programme

The Holiday Hunger Programme has been launched to provide extra support to children and their families this half term. The County Council is working with the Active Essex Foundation to extend the programme. It will see 33 programmes available across the county and more than 1,000 children provided with free activities and food.

Heathlands PTA are running a First Aid Course on Monday 30th March 2020 between 7 pm – 10 pm. This course is ideal for parents, teachers, grandparents, friends and anyone else who wants to be able to look after someone in a life-threatening emergency, the course will also raise funds for the PTA.
