St Mary’s Update – 16th May
St Mary’s Church update for 16th May provides listings of services, bible readings and other events and news such as new Churchwardens, Christian Aid Week, Children’s Society collection & Week of Prayer.
Don’t forget, the church is now open on weekdays if you would like a quiet space to reflect or say a prayer for someone.
Christian Aid Week – 14-20 May
We will be organising our usual door to door collection in the village. The focus of this year’s campaign is looking after refugees. Please support the work of Christian Aid if an envelope is delivered through your door this week.
Children’s Society Boxes
Time to collect in your Children’s Society Boxes! Thank you to all who support the Children’s Society by collecting their loose change in the special money boxes. Liz will arrange to collect them in June, or you can drop them off in the church office.
Thy Kingdom Come Week of Prayer – 25 May – 4 June
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement originally initiated by the Archbishops of Canterbury & York.  It invites Christians around the world to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to know Jesus Christ. There are lots of ways you can pray individually for friends and family – see the attached for some easy to follow ideas:

Welcome to our new Churchwardens!
Thank you to Sue Day and Pete Jeffery for taking over as our new Churchwardens, and a huge thank you to Richard & Dorothy Chadborn for their hard work and dedication over the last several years.
