Bluebell Spring Nature Walk

The Friends of Hillhouse Wood, in conjunction with Woodland Trust,  invite you to join Join Steve Hallam for their annual Bluebell Open Day and Spring Nature Walk.

Taking place next Saturday (7th May), the guided walk starts from the Old Church walking down to Hillhouse Wood where you will see the bluebells,other spring flowers, butterflies and bird life, possibly including early nightingales.

As The Times newspaper has said:

A superb springtime wood with a flood of bluebells enhanced by the light created by coppicing of hazels.  If you’re lucky, you’ll hear blackbirds and nightingales.

The walk starts at 2pm, collect your map, nature trail, and guide from the Friends’ Information Point, by St Mary’s Old Church.

Refreshments will be available, being provided by St Mary’s Old Church.
