2018, Bluebells, it must be time for a spring flower walk

It’s 2018, Bluebells are blooming as are many more spring flowers so why not come along to the guided Spring Flower Walk at Hillhouse Wood on Saturday 28th April.  Last year 47 walkers were delighted with the results of their guided walk when they saw many different flowers such as:

  • Purple Orchids,
  • Lesser Celandine,
  • Wood Anemones,
  • Greater Stitchwort,
  • Lady’s Smock,
  • Yellow Archangel,
  • Wild Garlic,
  • Wood Sorrel,
  • Alternate-leaved Golden Saxifrage (great name but quite boring apparently), and, of course
  • Vistas of Bluebells.

Not Just Flowers

There are also numerous birds and other species you may be lucky to see including the melodious Nightingales that inhabit the woods.
