Who uses the 63 bus service?

If you do then you need to read this because the 63 bus service is under consultation about possible changes.  The following are extracts & quotes from the Essex County Council’s proposal:

The Hedingham & District’s Service 63 (Colchester North Station to Monkwick) operates Monday to Saturdays.  It has financial support from Essex County Council (ECC). ECC are considering withdrawing the 06:58 journey only and is carrying out a public consultation. This will last for 6 weeks between 03 September 2018 and 15 October 2018.

Background: The County Council’s has been advised that the 06:58 departure from Colchester North Station to Monkwick is no longer required; this is due to low passenger numbers. The additional cost of running this journey may adversely effect the long-term sustainability of the whole service.  Therefore the Council are seeking passengers’ views on removing this one journey.

Proposal: The proposed removal of the 06:58 journey only to reduce the cost of running the service. Other journeys on service 63 will remain unchanged.
