West Bergholt Care Network Announce Warm Welcoming Space Opening
The Care Network will open the doors to their Warm Welcoming Space project at 9:30am on Monday 7th November. On Monday and Friday each week the social club meeting room at the Orpen Hall will open to everyone in the village between 9.30am and 12.30pm. Free coffee, tea, biscuits and Wi-Fi are available. All age groups are very welcome – although under sixteens must be in the company of an adult.
There is no membership, entrance fee, or booking required. You can simply turn up with friends, meet others or just enjoy a little time alone. The ‘warm welcoming space’ can be whatever you want it to be.
Care Network Volunteers will be on hand to help you settle in and to answer any questions you may have.
Do you need help getting there?
Transport to the venue can be arranged via the Care network if needed – call 0300 777 3100 to book. Or you can contact the Care Network for more information about the ‘warm, welcoming space’ by emailing [email protected].
How Did this come about?
Over the past couple of years, volunteers with the West Bergholt Care Network have become aware that there are many people in the village who would welcome a relaxed social space where they could go during the day. With prices rising and people facing difficult financial choices we felt that demand may even increase this year.
Initiated by the Care Network, this has been a joint project with the Parish Council, the church and trustees of the Social Club. They are excited to be able to offer residents a “Warm Welcoming Space” in the village over this winter.
