Incredibles 2 at Half TermThe West Bergholt Film Club is showing the Walt Disney movie Incredibles 2 on Thursday 21st February. Taking place in the Orpen Hall, doors open at 9:30 am for showtime at 10 am.

Two weeks left for Libraries ConsultationIf you make use of the Essex libraries services you have just two weeks left to give your input. Over the past ten years, use of libraries has slumped (to use their word) with loans more than halved. Less than 20% of Essex residents now make use of the libraries. Against this background, and in the face of pressure on public finances, it is believed that the current service is no longer viable.

Christopher RobinThe West Bergholt Film Club is showing the family film Christopher Robin on Saturday 9th February to raise funds for playground equipment. Taking place in the Orpen Hall, doors open at 5:00 pm for showtime at 5:30 pm.
Tickets are £5, available in advance from Scissorhands or, subject to availability, on the door. Proceeds go towards a new playground at Orpen field, so please put this in your diary. Neighbourhood Plan Submitted for RatificationWest Bergholt submitted its final draft Neighbourhood Plan to Colchester Borough Council for ratification in late December last year. This followed endorsement of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group’s proposals by the Parish Council at its November meeting.

A12 Urgent Resurfacing Overnight 15th JanuaryWe have been informed that urgent resurfacing will be taking place between 8 pm to 6 am overnight on 15th January (weather permitting). Kier Highways will be closing the road SOUTHBOUND between junctions 28 and 26. They will put a diversion in place via A1232 and A133 before re-joining the A12 southbound at junction 26.
