At the start of the meeting, six representatives from the Bowls Club addressed the committee further to VBC advising the Club of increased hire charge and the phasing out of the 10% paying in advance for 2017/2018.  The Bowls Club read their case and that they are struggling to recruit new members.  The Bowls Club also hire the hall 52 weeks of the year twice a week and hope the PC will take this into consideration. MH told them that he will pass this to the Finance Committee but in the meantime the PC have offered to help with recruiting more members via different sources of media.

4.1 Lighting – The electrician has been back to rectify outstanding jobs but it turned out that the electrics in the garage are causing the outside lights to trip out.  He is sourcing parts for the garage electrics and also light infuser guards for the JL Hall lights. VBC
4.2 Hall Flooring – VBC has received two out of the three quotes – the two quotes received were only willing to carry out work to the Orpen Hall floor.  The two quotes were quite different and with the wording it was suggested a job specification be done and for them to requote. BB/VBC
