6. Handymen’s report:
It has been a busy month with the Handymen undertaking all the usual seasonal work grass cutting, strimming, etc.
The area of the drain cover on the Heath will require to be protected from the mower so that the brambles can screen the drain from access by the public. There have been incidents of fly-tipping in the village and the litter will be collected by CCC after clearance by the Handymen assisted by the Clerk.
It was agreed to strim around the village pond before undertaking spraying. Some snags with the mower have been reported and have been temporarily addressed and will have to be treated by the mechanic.
It was agreed to commence the process of obtaining quotes to build a walkway to the new shed – DS to action.
7. School Drive entrance
It was agreed that this ongoing matter was one for the school to deal with and it is not a matter for the Env. Com. Or the PC generally.
8. Practice goal area
Refurbishment of the facility will commence on 16th June, with work to be completed within 2 weeks to include curing time for the artificial grass. The area will remain fenced off for the whole period.

Supplies are in hand and are considered sufficient at present.
10. Chapel Rd Bus Signage
It was agreed that a new sign would be purchased to replace the missing item. Wording to be agreed but to indicate that bus engines should be switched off if the bus is parked for any length of time. DS to action.
11. Upcoming Environment Committee items
The Hall Rd Pond water level is very low and is to be kept under observation. It was decided not to replace the Mayor’s tree on the Poor’s Land.
