The Parish Council would like to thank James Owers for his contribution and wishes him well as he leaves the council due to work & family commitments.
The Official “Notice of Casual Vacancy”
Notice is hereby given under Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that James Owers has ceased to be a member and a casual vacancy exists in the office of Councillor for West Bergholt Parish Council.
If by 26 September 2024 ten electors registered within the said council area request, in writing to the Proper officer of Colchester City Council, that an election is held to fill the said vacancy then an election will be held. Otherwise, West Bergholt Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.
