Hello and a Happy New Year from your Committee! 

Talking of whom, we have had a meeting to discuss Speaker and subject ideas for our next season from this September through to May 2024.  I know it sounds a long way off as we’ve only just jumped into 2023 but Speakers are rapidly becoming booked up! We hope we shall do our best for you all and make choices that will enthuse and interest you in anything horticultural!

Village News launches

To fill the gap between issues of the Village Bulletin, the Parish Council will now be publishing “Village News” every month there isn’t a Bulletin. It is being distributed via outlets in village, and has gone to all the school families and is also available on the village website (click this link).

Edition 1 contains news of a possible Oil Purchasing Cooperative which could result in savings for those who use heating oil,  gives advice about travellers and updates on progress of bad weather planning in event of heavy snowfalls – volunteers are still needed.  There is also a news update from the Blue Owl Gift Shop (click this link).

Common Ground 20


The latest CBC newsletter is now online on our website. Read more there about safety, Infopoint, Discos, Summer fete, recycling and the Game 5 Walk Challenge. The last of the five walks starts in Wet Bergholt on 13th November meeting at the White Hart at 10am.
