Review of Consultation Results on West Bergholt Neighbourhood Plan

An update from the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group:

Make Sure You Have Your Say

Last October we published a draft neighbourhood plan and held an exhibition prior to a consultation exercise.  We have now analysed parishioners’ questionnaire responses and used the results to review policies to ensure they fully account for the feelings of the village.  We have also made alterations, where applicable, to the policies in the plan to reflect this. The final document to be presented to CBC, which will affect our village and parish for the next fifteen years, is now complete.

We are now at the final stages of the process.  Still to go is a final consultation on the results and presentation of policies.  After that the plan will be submitted to a referendum before its adoption by the village.

The West Bergholt Neighbourhood Plan steering group will present the final document to the village on Sunday 21st May and Saturday 27th May at a public meeting in the Orpen Hall between 10 am and 4 pm.

The exhibition will take the form of:

• The final Neighbourhood Plan presented as posters around the hall,
• A flyer,
• A summary leaflet,
• Final Neighbourhood Plan document, and
• A feedback form.

Refreshments will also be available.

Residents and businesses are urged to visit the exhibition as this is the last formal opportunity before the referendum later in the year.
