23/142 Receive /accept apologies and welcome to the public.
Apologies were received from Cllr Barrow.
23/143 Council Documents
a) To review and renew the WBPC Health & Safety Policy
This policy has been approved and renewed by the Parish Council for some years with minor amendments, however a more up to date version has been suggested by Cllr Owers, therefore Cllr Butcher proposed that the council agree to renew this policy at present but review the wording after the stipulated six months.
RESOLVED – to agree renewal of the WBPC Health & Safety Policy. Proposed by Cllr Butcher, seconded by Cllr Savage. All in favour.
b) To approve the West Bergholt Parish Council Action Plan 2023-24
The Action Plan is not a new document, but an updated version of a previous plan containing the most recent actions.
RESOLVED – to approve the West Bergholt Parish Council Action Plan 2023-24. Proposed by Cllr Butcher, seconded by Cllr Savage. All in favour.
c) To approve the West Bergholt Parish Council Accessibility Statement
This is a lengthy document created from the government’s template, which will become a lot shorter once many of the options are stripped out. The document was displayed to all, and several changes were discussed during the meeting.
RESOLVED – to approve the West Bergholt Parish Council Accessibility Statement, subject to the changes noted at the meeting being incorporated by Cllr Cullis, Dave Kingaby (webmaster) and the Clerk. Proposed by Cllr Butcher, seconded by Cllr Short. All in favour.
ACTION – Clerk to circulate the final version of the Accessibility Statement to all Councillors.
d) To approve the West Bergholt Parish Council Business Plan 2023-2027
An additional paragraph on Environment & Sustainability was submitted by Cllr Gili-Ross just prior to the meeting. This wording was agreed by Councillors at the meeting, along with a minor typo.
RESOLVED – to approve the West Bergholt Parish Council Business Plan 2023-2027, subject to the inclusion of the wording submitted by Cllr Gili-Ross. Proposed by Cllr Butcher, seconded by Cllr Gili-Ross. All in favour.

a) The Council confirms by resolution that all documentation and information is in place for the Foundation level of the Local Council Award Scheme, criteria 1-26
RESOLVED – to confirm by resolution that all documentation and information is in place for the Foundation level of the Local Council Award Scheme, criteria 1-26. Proposed by Cllr Butcher, seconded by Cllr Gili-Ross. All in favour.
b) The Council confirms by resolution that all documentation and information is in place for the Quality level of the Local Council Award Scheme, criteria 1-17
RESOLVED – to confirm by resolution that all documentation and information is in place for the Quality level of the Local Council Award Scheme, criteria 1-17. Proposed by Cllr Butcher, seconded by Cllr Owers. All in favour.
c) The Council confirms by resolution that all documentation and information is in place for the Quality Gold level of the Local Council Award Scheme, criteria 1-7

The next full council meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Wed 27th Sept 2023 at 7.30pm, both meetings to be held in the John Lampon Hall, Lexden Rd, CO6 3BW.
