Declarations of Interest: West Bergholt Planning Committee declared an interest in item 2b) App. No. 161891

It is the aim of the Parish Council to seek a high standard of design for all new developments and extensions in the Village .

Item 1:         To receive any pre-application representations regarding proposed planning applications

Item 2:         Current planning applications:

Location Proposal Application No. and link to CBC planning website Object / Support / Observations Decision or Recommendation Comments by Planning Committee
Queens Head Pub, Queens Road, West Bergholt, CO6 3HE Removal of existing garage/outbuildings and replace with new dining/function room extension 161762 Observation Decision The Parish Council have no objection to the design, but have sympathy with neighbouring residents regarding the road safety & the noise concerns. We would ask the planner to pay due regard to the number of objections, however it is understandable regarding the proximity to residents. The Council would like to recommend the incorporation of an external smoking area to be provided inside the new garden area, so to stop people smoking at the front of the pub, with all the noise and mess implications that incurs.
39 Lexden Road, West Bergholt, CO6 3BW Single storey extension to existing dwelling – Revised Plans 12th Aug 161473 Support Recommendation The Parish Council supported this application previously and still support it.

b) To note the application by West Bergholt Parish Council for a storage container on the Lorkin Daniell field, application no. 161891 and to allow the public to direct their comments to the principle authority, Colchester Borough Council, at planning.colchester.gov.uk/
