Following a successful concert there last year, Flatford hosts the Concert Band once again with a free concert for all near the Mill on Sunday 10th June.  Starting at 2:30 pm, it will last around 2 hours.

Women’s Institute – April Report

President, Pat Moran, welcomed members to the April meeting.

50 guests attended the Fashion Show and make up demonstration last month and letters of appreciation had been received from many of the WI’s. The raffle raised £140.50p.
Crosswords are available from the treasurer price 80p.
The annual outing to Carter’s Vineyard was approved by everyone, cost £15 including tour and refreshments.

Mr Webber was welcomed with his talk on A Glimpse into the Bee’s World. He revealed so many fascinating fact about their life and roles inside the beehive. With the aid of a beehive he showed his audience the process of gathering honey.

Members were thanked for their freshly baked cakes which will be taken to St Helena Hospice. Next month, following resolutions, Simon Gallup will talk about Flatford Mill and Constable Country.
