Freedom of Information (FoI)
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (which came into force in 2005) gives a general right of access to all types of ‘recorded’ information held by public authorities, it also sets out exemptions from that right. Under this legislation parish councils are obliged to:
- produce a publication scheme, and
- deal with individual requests for information.
If you have a request for information that is not addressed by the council’s published scheme, or you need to contact the parish council about this scheme, then please contact:
Laura Walkingshaw, Clerk to the Parish Council
80 Chapel Road,
Telephone: 07726 424419
Email: [email protected]
If making your request by email please include “WBPC FOIA Request” in the subject box to ensure it is not blocked by any spam filters.
The Parish Clerk will only hold information that is current or for normal Parish Council information, e.g. minutes etc which is less than 5 years old.
