Open Gardens 2022 – Are You Proud of Yours?

Are you proud of your garden?

Proud enough of your garden to enter open gardens?

If you are proud of it, you might want to consider adding it to this year’s Open Gardens. The Gardeners Association are now working to finalise details for the event. Contact [email protected] to find out more.

Entry by programme

Programmes for entry to all the gardens and the allotments will be on sale beforehand in shops and businesses; on the day also at the Orpen Hall. The Gardeners Association also plan to have a stall selling plants in the Hall on the day; they would welcome plant contributions to sell.

All proceeds will go to the Association’s chosen charities:

Previous Events

The Open Gardens event can raise thousands – as much as £3,000 in past years. Extra delights such as donkeys, vintage Jags & Morris Dancers have also entertained visitors!

Hopefully, the weather will be kind and this will prove to be another successful event.

Gardeners Association Meetings

The gardeners have numerous meetings & trips through the year, those upcoming include:

  • 25th April – Gardeners Question Time,
  • 16th May – Pruning, When, Where, How?
  • 12th July – Trip to East Rushton Gardens,
  • 13th September – Self-drive to Utling Wick,
  • 24th November – Trip to RHS Hyde Hall’s GLOW Light Display.
