Do you know a crime victim who needed support?

Victim Support LogoVictim Support needs more volunteers

Victim Support is an independent charity working towards a world where people affected by crime or traumatic events get the support they need and the respect they deserve. They help people feel safer and find the strength to move beyond crime. They tailor their support to victims’ needs and it is given freely & confidentially.  Last year in Essex, their team of trained volunteers and staff supported over 3,000 people affected by crime.  Currently they have a shortage of volunteers in the Colchester area and so are looking for volunteers.

Listening Skills

They want reliable people with great listening skills and 4 hours or more to spare a week, to join them.  They will train you to offer practical and emotional support to people affected by crime.  Whether you want to help people in your local community, give something back, or learn new skills, this could be the rewarding role you are looking for.

Successful applicants could be on their next four day fully accredited training course in Chelmsford this January (18th, 19th, 25th & 26th ).
